Bayshore Family Medicine is dedicated to promoting quality health care for every member of your family. Our providers give special attention to pregnancy, newborns, children, teens, women's health, adults, and seniors. We desire to partner with you, providing information you need to make decisions that are consistant with your health care goals.

Bayshore Family Medicine was started in 1979 as Pacific City Medical Clinic. Several physicians staffed the clinic in early years on a part time basis including Drs. Erling Oksenholt, Deo Fisher, and Michael Cheek. In 1982 Dr. Albert Thompson began full time practice in Pacific City. His wife Myra Thompson, DNP joined him in 1993. Major changes followed in 1994 when the clinic became designated as a federally qualified Rural Health Clinic. In October 2001, Dr. Craig Brown joined the practice.

In preparation of Dr. Brown joining the practice plans were made to expand to a new location. In December 2001 after much careful planning and hard work, our current Pacific City location was completed and ready to take Bayshore Family Medicine to new heights!

Years of continued growth and strong leadership helped BFM achieve a difficult task: recruit another full time healthcare provider AND expand the practice from one office location to two locations! Dr. Greg Steinke joined the group in June 2010 eager to continue the ongoing mission of our practice. With the addition of our Lincoln City location our patients are enjoying greater flexibility and availability of care!
